The GAEB Toolbox has been developed for application developers in order to minimize the overhead while exchanging data with the German GAEB data-exchange format.

Currently, the GAEB consists of 3 different data-exchange formats. The oldest one of them is called "GAEB 90", the newer one is known as "GAEB 2000", while the most recent one has been dubbed "GAEB DA XML".

All these three formats are supported by the GAEB Toolbox. Moreover, the "GAEB DA XML" logic enables the user (i. e. the application developer) to exploit all of them concurrently.

The GAEB Toolbox is implemented as "COM" server, so it is easy to integrate the GAEB Toolbox in the Windows environment.

While the current "GAEB DA XML" comprises English key words already to assist international developers and applications, the older standard formats' German key words are being translated by the GAEB Toolbox.
